The Mick

Holds the record for most home runs (18), RBIs (40), runs (42), walks (43), extra-base hits (26), and total bases (123) in WORLD SERIES games.

Hit 3 home runs in the '64 series against the Cardinals including a walk-off on Oct. 10, 1964.

1956 was one of his greatest seasons. Hit for the Major League Triple crown, the last to lead in all three categories for both leagues. 353 Ave, 52 HR, and 130 RBI. Led to his first of 3 MVP's.

Here is a classic song with some footage of the Mick.

Jack Buck

I have been inspired to start a blog after recently viewing my cousins blog called, "Court Vision." His blog has cool things about different basketball players and things in basketball in general. I have decided to make mine about baseball, the sport I love the most. I am a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan so you might see more on them than other teams. The first tribute I have made is naming my blog, "That's a Winner." This was the famous call of the late Jack Buck, by far my favorite announcer of all time. I love to still listen to a baseball game on the radio because of Mr. Buck. Here is a great video of a few Jack Buck highlights.
